Open Casting Session - Information

Salam sis semua,

Since ramai yg first-timer and tak tahu what to expect during the open casting session, disini kami sediakan beberapa info yang hopefully can answer your questions:

• each participant perlu bawak make-up sendiri. since ini bukan actual photoshoot, sis semua perlu pakai make-up sendiri (if datang dah siap bermake-up lagi bagus). our make-up artist will only do a simple touch-up where you'll learn a tip or two :)
• participants tak perlu orang yg bertudung, tapi mase casting nanti perlulah bertudung & menutup aurat. pakai your own interpretation of muslim chic.
• no weight or height restriction.
  
• event flow:

1. register & isi borang
2. touch-up your make-up
3. photo session
4. beli baju eightDesigns :P

• per participant should not take more than 15 minutes. However, you may have to wait in line if sis semua datang serentak at the same time

Salam darlings! lama rasanya sue tak menulis kat blog eightDesigns ni. selama ni yg dok upload baju baru dan reply email tu semua Amna yg buat. Amna tu staff eightDesigns yg baru. baru aje start keje dalam bulan puasa haritu hihi. sue sekarang ada kat kampung. ada urusan kat Kota Bharu (eheh surprise!- keep on reading) Ada beberapa perkara penting yg sue nak inform sis semua.

1) e-commerce website
yg paling penting tentang e-commerce website. sue dgn hubby dah buat website baru utk eightDesigns. sis bole refer kat: http://www.muslimchicfashion.com. website masih belum siap sepenuhnya. ada banyak lagi stok yg belum masuk website tu. walaupun dulu ramai yg vote for blog, kami terpaksa jugak buat e-commerce website tu. bila stok dah banyak, order masuk banyak, Amna pun dah tak terlarat nak control order melalui blog. makan masa 1 hari suntuk reply email, dan bungkus parcel aje. so, sue fikir terpaksa lah jugak pakai e-commerce website tu sebab kebanyakan step dah automated kat sana. once sis order, bila sistem cakap available, sis terus boleh buat payment. tak perlu tunggu kami reply. kan senang gitu :) so sue harap, sis bole biasa-biasakan diri dulu utk pakai website tu ye. starting 2 November 2009 semua order mesti masuk melalui www.muslimchicfashion.com. blog sekarang www.eightdesignsboutique.com akan remain sebagai blog. kami still akan maintain blog ni utk kegunaan blog aje. nanti sis bole baca pasal berita2 eightDesigns kat sini. rajin2 la jugak jenguk blog ni ye sis. kalau ada new arrival pun, kami akan upload sikit kat blog. utk stock yg sebetulnya, sis kena tengok kat website muslimchic. errr... faham ke semua? berbelit2 pulak ayat sue eheh

2) eightDesigns Kota Bharu
haaa... perkara yg kedua, yang paling membuatkan sue pening kepala, tak bole tido malam, raya lepas pun tak bole nak raya, huhu.. eightDesigns Kota Bharu! subhanallah. walaupun pening, tapi rasa excited pun ada. alhamdulillah setelah bertungkus lumus kerja gile-gile, sue akan bukak cawangan eightDesigns di Kota Bharu Trade Centre(KBTC). utk yg tak pasti kat mana KBTC
tu, KBTC tu bangunan baru in between Pasar Besar Siti Khadijah dgn stesen bas KB. bangunan yg ada Parkson dan Giant yg baru tu. sekarang kami masih dlm proses buat design dan renovation. kedai kat tingkat 2. target bukak 1 bulan lebih lagi. nanti kami inform ye.sue harap sangat semua eightDesigns fan yg ada di Kelantan akan dtg support ye ;)

3) Kerja kosong di eightDesigns
Bila eightDesigns KB dah bukak, sue akan transfer Amna untuk manage butik kat sana. jadi kena ada sorang staff untuk ganti Amna manage butik kat b.b.bangi pulak. berikut senarai staff yg kami perlukan:
Fulltime staff kat butik B.B.Bangi = 1 orang (mesti pandai komputer, pandai English sikit2, preferably yg ada diploma)
Fulltime staff kat butik Kota Bharu = 3 orang (jaga kedai)
salary bole bincang. sesiapa yg interested atau ada kawan2 yg tengah cari kerja, bole email sue kat: sue@eightdesignsboutique.com. jangan lupa kasik no tel sis kat email ye. nanti sue akan call.

An apology from eightDesigns.

Dear loyal customers.
First of all, we would like to thank all of you for your continuous support. Without you, eightDesigns would not be as it is today. It has been more than one year since we've been on the net (from 21st July 2008). And ever since the recent opening of our offline boutique, business has been booming.

However, it seems that our "sudden" success has taken a toll against the business. 3 pairs of hands working daily from 10am till 9pm (and sometimes untill midnight) is still not enough to handle the current workload. Thus we apologize if we are not able to promptly update the availability of our items on this blog. We know what a major bummer it is when you have carefully selected the items of your choosing, only to find out they're not in stock! We also apologize for any mishaps that has happen during the handling of your order and your delivery.

Though more than 90% of you have voted for us to stick to a blog, rather than an e-commerce website the current workload just doesn't allow it. Thus we have opted to combine BOTH!! We will still retain our blog for item availability, but for ordering we will be using a proper "ordering system" in place of the current "order form".

In the midst of us upgrading our system, we will try our best (starting today) to promptly update the availability of our items and to provide a better service to YOU, our customers. However, we may not be able to respond to your orders as promptly as before . Thus we strongly urge you to drop by our offline boutique as we have tons and tons of items which have not been uploaded yet ;). (Teaser: we even have some new bags and new designs for our
monobo footwear!!)

Return and exchange policy

Salam sis,

huhu just nak inform, kebelakangan ni, kami terima banyak customer yang pulangkan baju. Ada berbagai-bagai sebab. Kalau yg tak kena saiz, atau baju tu ada defect, bole la tukar. Tapi kalau saja2 nak tukar sebab ada baju lain yg lagi cantik, mintak maaf la. kami tak dapat nak kasi tukar macam tu.

so, before order tu, sis better make sure dulu saiz yg tepat. email kami tanya kalau tak pasti size. kalau tak pasti baju tu materialnya apa, email jugak. biar confident semua, then baru bayar. lagipun, kalau sis nak tukar baju, atau nak pulangkan baju, kos postage tu sis jugak yg tanggung. dok ulang-alik poslaju, sis pun dah rugi RM12.

rasanya eightDesigns akan buat policy baru yg lebih jelas and lebih strict lepas ni. Sama macam blog orang lain jugak. sekarang ni kami lembut hati sangat, so banyak itu ini yg jadi.

Disebabkan terlalu banyak pertanyaan dan ada beberapa perkara yg kurang jelas, jadi ni eightdesigns persembahkan FAQ sbg rujukan anda:

Soalan 1:
Customer: Kalau i masukkan duit hari ni, bila bole sampai baju?
eightdesigns: Kami akan pos baju anda sehari selepas terima payment. Kami deliver setiap hari, kecuali ahad dan public holidays je. kalau pejabat pos bukak, kami pasti deliver. Delivery biasanya 2 hari untuk address kat selangor, negeri sembilan, dan yg mana-mana la dekat dengan area Bdr Baru Bangi. Utk Kelantan, Terengganu, biasanya 3 hari. Sabah dan Sarawak, 3 atau 4 hari. Sbg cth: Anda masukkan duit hari isnin, kami hantar hari selasa, so parcel akan sampai hari rabu atau khamis gitu. err..faham ke? senang cite... tunggu la sampai 4 hari, kalau lepas 4 hari tak sampai lagi, pasti ada prob poslaju, cepat2 email kami ye.

Soalan 2:
Customer: Kak sue, apa no tel eightdesigns? senang sikit saya nak order melalui SMS.
eightdesigns: mintak maap la, kami tak dapat nak bagi no tel kat semua orang. sebab kami tak mampu nak layan order melalui sms. tapi lepas u order barang melalui order form kat blog, kami akan kasi no tel. meaning, hanya customer/serious buyers aje yg ada no tel kami. nak reply email pun tak sempat, ape tah lagi nak reply sms. hehe harap memahami ye.

Soalan 3:
Customer: Kalau baju yg saya beli tu tak kena saiz atau saya tiba2 tak berkenan pulak kat baju tu, bole tukar atau amik duit balik ke?
eightdesigns: Returning of items is applicable for defect items or changing of size only. Strictly no cash refund. Kalau baju tak kena saiz, bole tukar dalam masa 15 hari dari tarikh kami hantar baju tu. Kalau walk-in purchase atau order yang datang collect sendiri di butik boleh dalam 3 hari sahaja. Cumanya, Sis kena byr lagi sekali kos pos laju untuk penghantaran kedua. kalau nak tukar dgn baju lain, kita kan kira berapa beza harga baju tu. kalau kurang, kami pulangkan, kalau lebih, korang tambah. baju baru, kos poslaju pun kena kira baru. gitu la. adil kan?

Soalan 4:
Customer: hye eightdesigns, i first time nak beli dgn u ni, takde diskaun2 ke, free gift ke? hehehe
eightdesigns: hye darling, diskaun tu takde kot, tapi kalau u bli 3 helai ke atas, delivery u takyah bayar. meaning, eightdesigns tanggung. jimat RM6 or RM9 tuu. free gift tu belum ada lagi buat masa sekarang, sebab eightdesigns baru nak bernafas ni, bak kata yuna, bagai bernafas dalam aaiiirrrrr.. kami kan baru bukak butik , so byk la kuar kos ni. sabar dulu ye. tapi dont worry, regular customer pasti akan dpt free gift nanti :p

Soalan 5:
customer: i dah transfer duit through interbank giro, transfer dari BSN ke akaun Maybank eightdesigns. bila bole hantar baju tu? haiii tak sabarnyaa hihi
eightdesigns: kami akan deliver sehari selepas kami tgk duit awak dah masuk dalam akaun Maybank kami. interbank giro transfers kan takes time sikit. harap bersabar ye darling

Soalan 6:
customer: Hey eightdesigns!!! baju i ada lubaaangggg uwaaargghhh!
eightdesigns: Kalau baju tu rosak disebabkan kami, kami akan hantar yg baru utk korang. ataupun pulang balik duit korang semua including kos poslaju. tolong hantar balik baju tu kepada kami, kami akan ganti kos poslaju utk pemulangan baju tu. tapi kalau korang sengaja buat lubang kat baju tu sebab korang tak berkenan kat baju tu, then hanya Allah yg akan membalasnya huhuuuuuu. *baiknyaa eightdesigns hukhukhk berkorban apa saja demi customer terchenta

Soalan 7:
customer: bole caya ke eightdesigns ni? ntah2 tipu duit aku...
eightdesigns: kami org baik, kami pun takut tuhan. huhu confirm kami bole dipercayai. lagipun skrg kan dah bukak butik kat b.b.bangi. kalau kami tipu duit korang, korang bole report polis. Syarikat kami berdaftar dgn SSM. Company no :001839634-X. kalau kami tipu, nampaknya kami memang menempah kegagalan la di atas penat lelah kami bina eightdesigns selama ni.

Soalan 8: i nak book baju ni, tapi nak bayar hujung bulan bole tak?
eightdesigns: booking actually 3 hari aje. lepas 3 hari, kalau takde payment, kami akan cancel booking tu, sebab nak kasi peluang orang lain beli pulak. tapi diatas perasaan dan hati yg lembut, kami pun faham situasi kewangan korang. kami dgn rela membook kan item yg korang tergila-gila kan tu sehingga hujung bulan, dengan syarat, korang masukkan dulu deposit RM10 utk setiap baju. then hujung bulan, korang bayar balancenya, then baru kami hantar baju tu. Tapi bila hujung bulan, korang kensel pulak, deposit tu korang terpaksa la dermakan pada eightdesigns. hhuhu

Soalan 9:
customer: i dah isi order form, tapi rasanya tak jadi la pulak. macam mana?
eightdesigns: kalau nak kensel order, takde masalah, email aje. kami tak marah pun. :) tapi kalau bole, tolong la reply email kami. yg penting, communicate je, jgn buat deeekkkk aje. kalau buat deeekk, memang ada la yg nak kena banned ehhe

Soalan 10:
customer: i book dulu ye baju tu, nanti i datang collect kat butik dlm masa 2 hari ye
eightdesigns: ye kami mengalu-alukan kedatangan anda. bole book kat online, then dtg collect within booking period ;) bwk kawan2 dan adik-beradik sekali, tolong la promote ye

Soalan 11:
customer: saya lupa la saya ada beli baju dgn eightdesigns. haritu rasanya ada notis dari poslaju suruh collect parcel, tapi saya tak collect. bz betul la. macam mana?
eightdesigns: kalau parcel dipulangkan balik kepada kami, anda kena tambah bayaran kos poslaju utk penghantaran kedua. jika anda tak collect parcel anda di pusat poslaju terdekat dalam masa 14 hari, poslaju akan pulangkan balik parcel anda kepada kami. tak ke rugi duit tuu.. syarikat poslaju jugak yg untung. so, jaga2 la bila agak2 kami nak hantar tu, better bagi alamat ofis ke, atau kalau alamat rumah, biar ada orang kat rumah masa posmen datang tu. haaa gitu la kira-kiranya.

Soalan 12:
customer: non-muslim can buy from u or not?
eightdesigns: of course u can buy from us. even though our tag line is 'muslim chic fashion', we are open to everyone to buy from us. Muslim chic fashion is just a style of fashion, not a restriction ;) everyone is welcome to buy from us.

Soalan 13:
customer: hai eightdesigns, u dah hantar ke parcel i tu? kenapa i trace tracking number yg u bagi tu tak jumpa pun. salah ke tracking number tu?
eightdesigns: hai darling, kami dah hantar parcel u seperti yang dijanjikan. kalau u trace kat website poslaju, memang sampai bila2 pun takkan berjaya trace parcel u tu. sistem kat website poslaju tu sentiasa macam tu, memang confirmm akan fail. kalau u nak trace, bole call pusat poslaju Bangi kat 03-8925 5226 atau 03-8925 5208 :)

Soalan 14:
customer: eightDesigns, u bole hantar baju i pakai pos ekspres tak? i nak jimat. pos ekspres RM4 aje. so bole jimat RM2
eightDesigns: mintak maaf banyak2, kami tak bole hantar pakai pos ekspres. kami tak dapat nak tanggung kerugian kalau parcel tu hilang. Pos ekspres tu kan utk hantar dokumen sahaja. Kalau pakai pos ekspres, posmen akan campak depan tangga aje ataupun sumbat baju u dalam post box, so sesiapa aje bole curik baju tu. Untuk menjamin baju u sampai dengan selamat, kami pakai courier paling murah dalam Malaysia, iaitu Poslaju :)

How to buy from eightDesigns?

1) we have created an official website at www.muslimchicfashion.com.
please place your order using cart system there. it would make the transaction smooth.

2) after successfully placing the order, check your email or you can login at the website to view the order info and make the payment within 3 days.

3) your order will be canceled should we did not receive the payment within 3 days

4) notify us immediately (by email) after making the payment. Payment made before 12noon will be delivered same day, otherwise will be delivered the next day. we deliver everyday except sunday and public holidays.

5) we deliver pls allow 2-4 days for the parcel to arrive.

6) if you are using cash deposit machine, and there is a balance of RM5 or below, we will include the balance in your parcel. For balance of more than RM5, we will transfer to your maybank, cimb, or bank islam account. just email us your bank account name & number.

7) We no longer accept cash on delivery (COD) as you can now drop by our physical boutique. click here to view map to our boutique.

here's how we measure each and every clothing we are selling. do not really take the size of S, M, L, or XL exactly as they are. use the measurement we provide as guidelines on choosing your sizes. measure your apparel, NOT your body.

Opening of shop delayed!

Salam sistas. I know that i mentioned in my previous entries that the shop will be opening today (1st May 2009). However, since the shop is still under renovation, I think I have to put it on hold for at least another few weeks or so. Tunggguu!!!! :)

Salam sis. Since we'll be opening a physical shop in 2 weeks, would like to ask your opinion regarding stocks. we'll be doing massive stocks of dresses, kimonos, blouse and etc. but then, it will be very helpful if u could tell us what u want.

currently we've received emails asking for:
1. mermaid long skirts
2. leggings
3. long cardigans
4. turtle neck inners
4. round neck inners

so, pls pls tell us what u want. it will be very helpful for both parties. would appreciate it a lot if u could give us some ideas by commenting to this post or even better email us the pics of clothing u want to sue@eightdesignsboutique.com
